As we enter our ninth year running the Ply-Mar Snack Bar, we are prepared to deal with new and challenging conditions.
As an experienced, full-time food distributor, I am uniquely qualified to handle our safety needs while continuing to provide the highest quality goods and service possible.
As the 2020 season begins, there are carefully planned procedures and options for ordering and picking up your food. There will be NO EATING OR DRINKING INSIDE THE SNACK BAR. Should the state begin to allow indoor dining during the summer, we will revisit whether tables will be available inside the snack bar.
Patrons can enter the snack bar through the double doors on the patio, and order in person in our regular line, while staying six feet apart and wearing a mask. For smaller and quicker items, there will be an express line set up at the other front window.
NEW THIS YEAR!: You can text your order from your seat, and never have to enter the snack bar to pick it up. Just look at the menu here, choose your items, and text your order to (609) 780-2074. Please provide a name with your order, and it will be ready in approximately 20 minutes. Texted orders may be picked up at the BACK door of the snack bar, facing the tennis courts, where you can pick up your order from a table in the doorway.
Last summer, we introduced a Venmo option, which comes in handy this summer. You can send money on Venmo to @art-blumenthal, and create an account for your family. Then when you send in your order, we will deduct from your account, and let you know when it’s time to refill.
Cash payments will be accepted, and money will change hands on a small plastic tray that is sanitized between uses.
The club is requiring masks when inside, and the snack bar is no different. Please wear a mask inside the snack bar, for the safety of you and our staff, all of whom will wear masks, and will have their temperatures checked each day when they arrive to work. All of the snack bar employees are returning from last year, and we are ready and excited to make your summer great.
All orders of multiple items will be placed on a sanitized tray with paper goods, condiments and appropriate utensils included. NO CONDIMENTS will be placed in the snack bar for communal use. We ask that you return the trays promptly, as the need for them will be greater than usual.
These new challenges will be met with practical and professionally executed solutions to ensure the safety and health of our snack bar employees and customers.
