Ply-Mar is pleased to announce the appointment of our new head swim coach, Joe Acquaviva.

Joe grew up in Lafayette Hill and swam at Plymouth Swim Club and PWAC. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where he swam all four years and was captain his senior year. While at JHU, he was a 10-time All-American and NCAA National Champion. He stayed in Baltimore to obtain a Master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he was an assistant with the Johns Hopkins Swim team and a local Baltimore USA swimming program.

Locally, he previously coached at Central Bucks Swim Team and is currently a coach at Penn Charter Aquatic Club. Joe also coaches Upper School Water Polo and Swimming at the William Penn Charter School, and has been head coach at Plymouth Swim Club for the past 6 summers.

Joe brings enthusiasm and passion to the deck every day, and his coaching philosophy revolves around the importance of learning and improving every single day.
